Using the digital annotation tool Mediate developed at the University of Rochester, in Spring and Summer 2025 Bridget annotated 15 videos in the Portable Channel Collection that capture different kinds of activism members of R-WAVAW conducted across the city. These annotated versions of the videos—as well as embedded Vimeo links to unannotated versions—are both available to view in this digital exhibition. If you choose to peruse the annotated videos, you will find different moments of the videos labeled, in order to identify: street names and intersections, buildings, businesses, names of people, and further historical information.

In Fall 2025, Bridget and Elizabeth went through the 40 folders that comprise the R-WAVAW collection, and created a detailed catalogue of the contents of each folder, and key terms.

In Winter 2025-26, Bridget and Elizabeth drafted an archival report that provides an overview of the R-WAVAW collection's contents, and contexualizes the collection's contents within second-wave feminist history. With this report, our goal is to ensure this collection is accessioned and stewarded by a local archive or library.

In Spring 2026, Bridget and Elizabeth collaborated with the Rochester Central Public Library to host their annual “Rainbow Dialogues” on local queer history and activism.
Alongside two former R-WAVAW members—Sylvia Gasoi and Katherine Denison—Bridget and Elizabeth conducted a panel discussion about the history of this organization, and the activism Sylvia and Katherine have been involved in since.
A full recording of our conversation with Sylvia and Katherine can be found under the "Feminist Conversations" tab.

In Summer and Fall 2026, Bridget and Elizabeth with be conducting interviews with former members of R-WAVAW, to talk about their feminist activism in the 1970s, and the work they continue to pursue today. These conversations will be uploaded to this website as they are completed. Full recordings will be uploaded to the "Feminist Conversations" tab.
